I'm Doris.
Let me take care of all the room booking admin.

Your bookings probably live in a shared calendar, and half of them arrive by text message. Hand the lot over and get on with the rest of your job. I'm the member of staff who never loses the diary or calls in sick.

Which one are you

However your rooms actually work, I already do it.

  • Tidy, tappable session slots
  • Double bookings made impossible
  • Recurring appointments in one pass
How I handle appointments

Two roles

Built for the people who run the room, and the people who use it.

Admins manage everything. Bookers just need a room.

For admins

Run the room without running yourself ragged.

  • Full schedule across every room and day, or a floor map of the building
  • Approve, reject, move or cancel anything
  • Invite members and manage active memberships
  • Set opening hours per season, term or holiday
  • Every change on a booking, logged and attributable

Getting started

Up and running in three steps.

  1. Set up your roomsName them, set capacity, add tags like projector or hearing loop. Pick your sector and most of it is already filled in.
  2. Invite your teamEmail invites. They sign up and start booking immediately. No training, no PDFs.
  3. Let me take overYour team asks me for a room and I write it in the diary. Installs on any phone, straight from the browser.

What I'm not

Your people, your rooms.

Most booking software takes bookings, and money, from the public. I do the other job: your own people booking your own rooms.

FAQs

Frequently asked.

Is Doris a public booking page like Calendly?

No. There's no public link and no marketing your venue to strangers. I'm for your own people. The exception is a guest hire: when someone outside your organisation books the hall, you take their details and I handle the deposit and the balance. They never need an account.

Does Doris handle payments?

I never hold your money, and I never take a cut. On Diary & Billing I raise the statements, and if you connect your own Stripe account your members and guests can pay by card straight into your bank. Bank transfer and cash work exactly as before. The money is yours; I just keep the score.

Which plan do I need?

Diary if you need rooms booked without clashes. Diary & Billing if money is involved: per-room prices, different rates for different members, extras, statements and analytics. One thing worth knowing, because it catches people out: desks and hot-desking need prices to work, so if you run co-working you want Diary & Billing.

Do my team need to download an app?

No App Store needed. I install from the browser: one tap, and I sit on the home screen like a native app.

How does the free trial work?

Up to 28 days free, no card, and every trial is a full Diary & Billing trial. You get 14 days to start, a week when you finish setup, and another week once you've added five members.

Does Doris use AI?

Not in the part that books your room. That is plain, predictable software that does the same thing every time, and I would not have it any other way. At the edges I open up: the assistant you already use can read your diary and draft the fiddly bits, and nothing it drafts takes effect until you say so. On Diary & Billing, with your permission, revocable in one click.

What happens if I cancel?

Read-only. Your diary and your history stay exactly where they are, nobody can make new bookings, and you can pick up where you left off whenever you like. Nothing is deleted automatically. If you do want it gone, ask me and I will delete it properly.

I've a year of bookings in a shared calendar. Do I have to type them all in again?

There's no import button, so someone does type them in. The shortcut is that anything repeating only gets entered once: put your regular weekly bookings in as a repeating series and they fill the diary forward on their own, then let the one-offs arrive as they come. If you would rather not start from a blank diary, book a walkthrough and we will go through it together.

Can someone outside my organisation book a room?

Yes, as a guest hire. You take the booking and their details, and I look after the deposit and the balance. There is still no public page, so nobody is browsing your diary or booking behind your back. It is you taking a booking, with the paperwork done for you.
