Opening hours
Weekly hours
- What it does
- When each day of the week opens and closes. I only offer times inside these hours, and a day switched off cannot be booked. Changing them later never moves or cancels a booking already made.
- Default
- What you set in the setup wizard, one line per day.
- For
- Every venue.
- For example
- A therapy practice. Monday to Friday eight until eight, Saturday mornings, closed Sunday.
- A village hall. Weekdays half past eight until ten at night, later on a Saturday.
- A co-working hub. Weekdays eight until six.
Week starts on
- What it does
- Which day your week starts on. It sets the first column of the diary and the weekly hours editor. Monday unless you say otherwise.
- Default
- Monday.
- For
- Venues whose week begins on a Sunday, such as a church hall.
- Leave it alone if
- Monday is the natural start of your week.
- For example
- A village hall. A church center puts Sunday first, so services and weekend lettings head the week.
Closed dates and seasons
Seasonal hours
- What it does
- Different opening hours between two dates, such as summer or term time. They replace your weekly hours for that period, and the diary goes back to normal when it ends. A price that runs from opening to closing follows the longer or shorter day.
- Default
- None. Your weekly hours apply all year.
- For
- Venues whose hours change with the season or the term.
- Leave it alone if
- Your hours are the same all year, or you run in session blocks.
- For example
- A therapy practice. An August recess with Friday evenings and Saturdays closed.
- A village hall. Summer holidays, closing at six instead of ten.
- A co-working hub. Later opening in June and July.
Closed dates
- What it does
- Days the whole venue is shut, such as bank holidays or Christmas. Nobody can book on a closed date, whatever the weekly hours say. If bookings already fall on it I warn you and leave them for you to deal with.
- Default
- None.
- For
- Any venue that shuts for a holiday or a job on the building.
- Leave it alone if
- You open every day of the year.
- For example
- A therapy practice. The week the rooms are being redecorated.
- A village hall. Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and polling day.
